All living organisms exhibit 7 characteristics of life:
1. Nutrition- organsisms either make food or obtain food to substain thier life
2. Respiration- organisms oxidize food to obtain water
3. Excretion- removal of metabolic wastes
4. Movement- organsims move their whole or part of their bodies
5. Irritability- organisms detect stimuli and make corresponding responses
6. Growth- organsims grow by increasing size and complexity
7. Reproduction- organisms reproduce offspring similar to themselves
We will also discuss methods of classification
